how do I fix __Windows\Installer broken digital signature
I have Windows XP. I was running AVG version 10.0.1170 I scaned the whole computer and my scan results I have 13 C:\Windows\ installer"";"C:\WINDOWS\Installer\fe2d.msi";"The file is signed with a broken digital signature, issued by: Microsoft Corporation MSN.";"""";"C:\WINDOWS\Installer\96d574.msi";"The file is signed with a broken digital signature, issued by: Microsoft Corporation.";"""";"C:\WINDOWS\Installer\96d56c.msi";"The file is signed with a broken digital signature, issued by: Microsoft Corporation"";"C:\WINDOWS\Installer\83c5b.msi";"The file is signed with a broken digital signature, issued by: Microsoft Corporation.";"" and so on.. My Question is how to I fix this Step by step.?Thanks

Hi samspenny, I see many users who ran scan on their computers using AVG Anti-virus software faced similar error messages. Reverting back to previous versions of AVG has solved there concern. You may refer one example of the same:http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/xphardware/thread/8445d911-ebb0-4292-96ba-749de4fcb672 This error might have caused even, if more than one security software is installed on the computer. If so, I would suggest you to uninstall security software. If you have confusion on selecting security software you may install Microsoft security essentials.You may download the same for free from the below link:http://www.microsoft.com/securityessentialsIt updates automatically and it enables users to use their computers without interruptions or long computer wait times.
